Welcome to stevethornburg.com
This page contains information regarding current and historical application security statistics regarding Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer.  Each category is presented in a side-by-side format, to help you see a direct comparison of the two products. Bear in mind that this data goes back to year 2003, but that Firefox was not available at that time. Hence there are fewer data points for Firefox than for Internet Explorer. Note also that at the time of this publication Microsoft Internet Explorer represented approximately 60 percent of browser usage, and Firefox was approximately 25 percent. See Web Statistics and Trends for current information.  The charts below will automatically be updated each month. This data was first presented here in June of 2006. |
